El Debarge Goes To Rehab
Second Chance singer El DeBarge has checked into a drug rehabilitation facility following a recent relapse.
The 49-year-old singer voluntarily checked himself into rehab to deal with issues stemming from many years of substance abuse.
He released a statement on his decision saying,
“I hate to disappoint my fans but it is necessary for me to take the time to work on me so that I may continue to share my music and my story with everyone. I thank everyone in advance for their prayers and well wishes and hope that you will respect my privacy during this time.”
All personal appearances for the singer have been postponed.
Debarge was scheduled to tour with singers Kem and Ledisi.
He will be replaced by Musiq Soulchild on the tour dates.
