Yung LA Explains Pink Duck Tattoo
Atlanta rapper, Yung LA, received quite a bit of media attention for the permanent ink on his face that appeared to be a microphone-wielding bright colored duck. There has been slight confusion since LA marked his cheek because the tattoo mirrors the logo of another camp while he was already tied to Grand Hustle.
LA now explains the artwork to XXLmag.com expressing that he is currently in negotiations to exit T.I.’s label but they don’t want to let him go nor do they want to work for him.
As for the disputes that he is not tied to The Duct Tape Boys made by DTE signee, Alley Boy, have led fans to believe that the duck may represent something else. “Yung La is NOT!!! DTE!!!,” tweeted Alley Boy.
As for LA’s explanation of the facial art,
“My cousins grew up with a lot of people from Zone 6, I know a lot of people from Zone 6, and the people from Zone 6, there whole movement is called Duct Tape and I just had been really getting up with these guys.”
He goes on, “…there’s so many cliques in Atlanta and I just wanted to be the Robin Hood, I just wanted to be the guy that could have relationships with everybody in the city.”
Maybe LA should get some clarification about his label situation before he puts permanent logos on his face.
