6. Breaking The Cycle
Speaking of parenting Common wants to avoid certain things he experienced as a child now that he’s a father, namely abandonment. Though he got along great with his father he says there was a period in time when he wasn’t around due to the drama his father had with his mother and though that cycle kind of repeated itself with his own daughter, he’s trying to rectify that and explain to her why things turned out the way it did. By explaining things to her he hopes she can get a better understanding of the situation and become “a whole woman” going forward.
