Will reveals that James Avery (Uncle Phil) “never liked nothing I did” as Will wasn’t a true actor at the time and he actually messed up that classic “How come he don’t want me” scene the first time around. After throwing a fit in front of the studio audience, Avery snapped him back into character and got him to nail it.
