The murder of Rayshard Brooks sent shockwaves through an already exhausted community, sparking more protests but police are looking for one woman who decided to take protests one step further. According to published reports, police are looking for a masked unidentified white woman who they claim was responsible for burning down the Wendy's location where 27-year-old Rayshard Brooks was murdered at the hands of police after falling asleep at the drive-thru window.

Beyoncé is making sure the Breonna Taylor's name is not lost and forgotten in all of the noise.

Atlanta PD had one job, don't murder anybody, and they failed. After the killing of Rayshard Brooks, the Atlanta police chief has resigned, one officer has been fired and the city is in turmoil as protests broke out in response to the 27-year-old being shot in the back as he ran way.

At a time when the Black community is demanding answers for the death of Black Americans at the hand of police, the murder of 26-year old Breonna Taylor has begun getting the microscopic treatment and the results so far are disheartening. On Wednesday (June 10), the Louisville Metro Police Department released the incident report for the night of March 13, when three plainclothes officers used a battering ram to break into Breonna Taylor’s apartment, where she was shot by LMPD eight times and killed immediately. Despite the evidence from the homicide, the report is almost blank.

After hosting memorials in Minnesota and North Carolina, the family and friends gathered of George Floyd gathered for one more final time in Houston, Texas, earlier this week for the funeral laying Floyd's remains to rest. Following a public viewing on Monday in which over 6,000 mourners paid their respects, George Floyd was laid to rest at the Fountain of Praise church in his home town of Houston on Tuesday (Jun 9). The nearly three-hour event was filled with moments of encouragement, comfort, and reflection as speakers came to share their condolences with the Floyd family. Hundreds of mourners filled the pews for the 11 a.m. service, as his family, friends, and prominent guests, including Jamie Foxx, Channing Tatum, and Al. B. Sure celebrated the life of the 46-year-old and called for a total reform of the police practices that led to an officer pressing his knee into Floyd’s neck for eight minutes, killing him.

Javier Ambler also suffered eerily similar death at the hands of the Texas police back in 2019.

In the wake of George Floyd's fatal arrest and Black Lives Matter protests breaking across the globe, there is a new era of accountability ushering in, and social media, more specifically, Black Twitter is enforcing it.

J. Cole has been quietly on the front lines of a few protests, but after seeing his efforts and that of countless others actually effecting change, inspired the normally recluse MC to react on Twitter. On Sunday (Jun 7), news began to spread that a majority of the Minneapolis City Council has announced plans to defund and disband the city’s police department. J. Cole, who participated in protests sparked by the police killing of George Floyd, commented on this significant start for change. “Powerful powerful,” J. Cole wrote via Twitter.
