Jeopardy! has found its hosts. Unfortunately, it's not who we wanted, and Twitter is BIG MAD.

According to published reports, after an online petition began circulating nominating Levar Burton as the new host in replacement of the late longtime host Alex Trebek, fans are getting their wish--temporarily.

During the morning hours on Twitter, Burton's name is trending as fans wonder aloud why the long-running game show Jeopardy! hasn't given the hosting gig to the actor.

Alex Trebek, the beloved host of Jeopardy!, has passed away. He was 80 years old.

If you haven’t sat around your living room television set yelling out answers during a broadcast of Jeopardy! then you’ve totally missed out. The longtime host of the show, Alex Trebek, announced this week that he is battling cancer but is gamely facing the disease and will continue the show.

A Jeopardy! contestant got a harsh lesson in slang pronunciation after he lost money on mispronouncing a word by ignoring its phonetic spelling. In an answer to one of the trivia questions, the contestant lost $3,200 by saying the word “gangsta” the proper way.

Alex Trebek is a true OG. On Monday (Feb. 20), the 76-year-old Jeopardy! host recently rapped bars from the likes of Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne and more.

Alex Trebek was up to something on Jeopardy! earlier this week. Watch him rap some Drake lyrics in only a way that he can.

Mega Ran, a popular rapper in the “Nerdcore” genre of Hip-Hop, caught wind of Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek’s slander of a contestant who is a fan of the style. The Phoenix by way of Philadelphia rapper aimed some hard bars at Trebek, cleverly checking the host and challenging him to respond to his words.
