When news that Jay Z was entering the sports agent business, skeptics questioned if the savvy businessman would have what it takes to flourish in that industry. According to a video profile from Bloomberg TV, it appears that the Brooklyn rapper has the respect of his sporting agent peers.

Roc Nation is trying to become a conglomerate. Today, the house that Jay Z is building announced a partnership with DONDA, the “creative house” founded by Kanye West, to manage DONDA Music.

Roc Nation and Skullcandy are two relatively small but enormously effective companies so the announcement of them joining forces seems to make as much sense as it could make dollars.

How did we not see this coming? Jeezy was vocal about his displeasure with his label Def Jam a week ago, and today, he shared plans for his CTE clique that don’t involve the only place he’s called home.

“Mustard on the beat,” the eponymous producer tag of DJ Mustard, has become a familiar phrase heard on some of Hip-Hop’s biggest hits. But the Los Angeles native has more in store than club records, as he’s signed a deal with Roc Nation.

Live Nation Entertainment, the major concert company, is in negotiations with the management companies of Irish rock band U2 and pop superstar Madonna. If the deal is made, it will give Live Nation a major boost as both are among the most popular touring acts of the last three decades.
