After weeks of media speculation and political maneuvering, an expected move from the White House today occurred after President Barack Obama officially announced the nomination of Massachusetts Senator and former presidential candidate John Kerry for Secretary of State. 

The Republican party shot down claims that verbal attacks against U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice are racially motivated. Members of the Congressional Black Caucus accused the GOP of going after Rice because she’s black.

There was a lot to talk about at President Obama’s first press conference since winning re-election last week. The commander in chief spoke to the media Wednesday (Nov. 14) addressing the attack in Benghazi, Libya, taxes, and the CIA cheating scandal.
