Wale kicked off the ‘Hottest MC in the Game‘ debate by being named as the tenth hottest rapper, essentially knocking both T.I. and J.Cole out of the conversation. As the countdown wages on, we have Big Sean at the ninth spot on the list. It’s hard to argue Sean’s placement, as he made a huge contribution to Kanye’s G.O.O.D Friday‘s series, along with appearing on Ye’s Grammy Nominated My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Sean also finally released critically applauded and commercially successful debut, Finally Famous

Despite the project being delayed by his Def Jam label, the G.O.O.D. Music MC’s debut boasted three number one singles. “My Last” featuring Chris Brown, “Marvin Gaye & Chardonnay” featuring Kanye West & Roscoe Dash, and “Dance (A$$)” featuring Nicki Minaj, were all huge hits for the Detroit native.

Although 2011 was a tremendous rookie campaign for Big Sean, 2012 looks to be equally as successful. The D-Town MC will be appearing on the G.O.O.D. Music Compilation and will be releasing another studio album entitled Finally Famous 2. While Sean’s earned the ninth ranked position on this year’s list, he’ll surely make an argument for the top five if he turns in another stellar year in 2012.
