What does a conservative radio host do when they say something idiotic and have to apologize? Say that rappers say far worse everyday.

Here is how the reasoning went down. Rush Limbaugh infamously called Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke a Slore because she dared argue in front of Congress that her employer’s health insurance cover her birth control. Only after his asinine comments led a number of advertisers dropping his show, thus hurt his pockets, did he bother with a half @ssed apology. Now Limbaugh is saying that his commentary wasn’t as what rappers say everyday. Reports The Cutline:

“Talk about a double standard,” Limbaugh intoned, after several callers complained that it was unfair he was forced into an apology. “Rappers can say anything they want about women [and] it’s called art. And they win awards.”

In no way are we condoning any rapper’s misogynistic or violent lyrics. However, Limbaugh is using the same tactics Don Imus employed during his “nappy headed ho-s” scandal; trying to deflect attention away from his crass statements with something that has nothing to do with other. Also, this is where we mention that Mr. Holier Than Thou Limbaugh had a pill popping problem. Cue D-12’s “Purple Pills.”
