Police Reenact Chavis Carter's Alleged Suicide [VIDEO]
Police in Jonesboro, Ark. have released a video reenacted how Chavis Carter could have shot himself in the head, while handcuffed. As previously reported, police concluded their investigation and determined that the 21-year-old committed suicide.
Carter was pulled over in late July, alongside to other people. The other men were let go, and after running his information cops found that Carter had a warrant out for his arrest stemming from a missed court date. They also found weed on him, but no weapons. After putting Carter in the back of a squad car, officers claim to have walked away only to hear a loud noise. When they returned to the vehicle, he lay dead of a gunshot wound to the right temple. The FBI has joined in the investigation into his death, which his mother says was not a suicide.
In an attempt to prove that he took his own life, police used several handcuffed people of various heights and weights, all pretending to shoot themselves in the head. However each of those shown in the video used their right hands, yet Chavis was left-handed. Although the fact that he wrote with his left hand does not mean that he could not have held a gun with his right hand, officers have offered no logical explanation as to how they missed the alleged weapon on his person, despite searching him twice.
