Burglar That Caught Brutal Fade At The Hands Of LL Cool J Faces 38 Years In Prison
Rapper, actor and now crime fighting bad-A$$ LL Cool J has been abuzz in the news after administering a vicious fade to a would be burglar who broke into his Los Angeles home. Robber Jonathan Kirby was the unfortunate recipient of a beat down and is still nursing a broken nose and jaw. Adding further insult to his injuries, Kirby, 56, is facing significant jail time with authorities threatening as much as 38 years in state prison reports the Los Angeles Times.
LL, born James Todd Smith, plays a cop on hit CBS show NCIS: Los Angeles and apparently channeled his character Sam Hanna when he detained Kirby after discovering the man in his home at 2am Wednesday (August 22) morning after hearing some noise in his living room. LL quickly put the mitts on Kirby and held him down while Los Angeles police arrived on the scene shortly after.
Kirby, a career criminal with a long rap sheet, was arrested for suspicion of burglary and also faces a possible battery charge. He is being held on a $1.1 million bail, this after just being release from prison in February of this year. LL didn't suffer any injuries and his rep said LL acted as only a father and homeowner can. “He is committed to keeping his family safe and is cooperating with authorities,” said the rep on Uncle L's behalf.
LL certainly showed that commitment on Wednesday.
