Rap fans can add another item to be thankful for this holiday season. Fabolous has announced that the release date of his forthcoming S.O.U.L. Tape 2 mixtape will occur on Thanksgiving (Nov. 22).

Using the fastest means of communication (Twitter) the Brooklyn rapper announced the news Monday (Oct. 22). “Soul Food for Thanksgiving #SoulTape2,” he wrote alongside an Instagram photo of the black-and-white cover showing the Radio City Music Hall marquee.

In mid-September Fab dropped his “So NY” track which featured clever world play aimed at Lil Wayne: “I’m so New York, Weezy probably don’t like me,” making reference to the Young Money heads hatred towards the city where he was busted on weapons possession charges, and served eight months in prison behind. Before any extra beef could hatch, Weezy announced that he hadn’t even heard the song. “I don’t listen to nothing but myself cause i’m just trying to get better, cause I always think about what I could’ve said or done better, so…sorry.”

The track “So NY” is not affiliated with the S.O.U.L. Tape, and as for the release date of Loso’s Way 2, the record seems to be going the way of Detox, but here’s hoping that won’t actually be the case.
