Call it an urban myth, or the biggest prank in Hip-Hop, but either way you slice it, the alleged release of Dr. Dre’s Detox album is the biggest question mark in music. Yesterday, 50 Cent  was asked when the album will come out, and to be honest even the G-Unit rapper himself has no clue.

Between his Beats by Dre line, producing records for other people, and his undying commitment to body building, it’s safe to say that Detox is not as important as it used to be. Even worse is the fact that the 47-year-old has toyed with fans’ emotions for well over a decade, announcing one ill-fated release date after another.

Rather than hold on to a dream deferred, it’s time to call Dre’s bluff (and hopefully encourage him to prove us wrong). As painful as it may be to accept, Detox is not coming out, and below are some reasons why.
