Many counted out Mobb Deep after a very public falling out last year. Luckily, the legendary duo have since reconciled, and are currently prepping a new album. Sermon of SermonsDomain.com caught up with the Queensbridge natives at The Crocodile in Seattle to discuss the aforementioned project, the concept behind the title of P’s forthcoming LP with Alchemist, Albert Einstein, their plans to release novels and more.

“I love this album that we’re doing right now. It’s retarded,” said Havoc while fighting the urge to play it. Prodigy interjected, saying “Every time we listen to it, we play it, and we just smile and look at each other like this is amazing.”

Viewers will see an earnest reaction from the two, who claim to be sticking to their formula in their latest material.

Mobb Deep also have separate books in the works. Prodigy’s will be the first novella in a series of short stories, titled H.N.I.C.. According to P, readers will get a “fictional story about some stick up kids from Brooklyn” when the book releases July 16. Havoc has a novel of his own in the works called The Silent Partner, but was unwilling to speak much on it.

Mobb Deep claims to be about halfway done their next body of work. Since no release date has been provided, we suggest that you listen to Havoc’s 13 in the meantime. Fans can also expect Albert Einstein from Prodigy and The Alchemist June 11.
