When Prodigy and The Alchemist connect, quality street music is sure to follow. Previous collabs like Alchemist’s 1st Infantry, Prodigy‘s H.N.I.C. and their 2007 joint album Return of the Mac display the duo’s synergy. The same is undoubtedly promised on their forthcoming collaborative piece Albert Einstein.

“Dough Pildin” is the first single from the project, and yes, the track is as gritty as you’d imagined. Here, the Queensbridge spitter lays straight-forward bars like “I draw circle around these roaches with the chalk/ Get your body outlined in the streets of New York,” over a gloomy soundscape built around hypnotic flutes.

We understand if enthusiasts are anxious for more, but fortunately the wait for Albert Einstein won’t be too long. The album will be available for purchase June 11 via P’s Infamous Records. Fans can expect appearances from Action Bronson, Domo Genesis, Roc Marciano, Alchemist, Raekwon, and Mobb Deep counterpart Havoc.
