Odd Future member Earl Sweatshirt isn’t bound by the traditional ways of marketing. In a new trailer to promote his upcoming album Doris, he addresses his critics and then some.

The clip features the “Chum” rapper mocking his impatient fans with question as to why he waited so long to release his proper debut. “A lot of n***as say, ‘Oh, woopty-wop. You took so long to come out.,’ said Sweatshirt, before cutting the statement short with a passionate “Shut the f**k up!.”

He clearly doesn’t appreciate comments from the peanut gallery.

The prolific wordsmith proceeds to jump off a fence to the smooth tunes of his Pharrell-produced track, “Burgundy,” after his impolite response. Special effects make the 30-second spot look a bit more extravagant.

Sweatshirt is set to release Doris August 20. Features will include Mac Miller, Vince Staples, Tyler, The Creator, Frank Ocean, and more. See the promo trailer below.
