Robin Thicke owned the summer because of “Blurred Lines,” but it’s still much work to do if the singer wants his album sales to match the success of his smash single. In turn, he debuts a visual for his new single “Give It 2 U,” featuring 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar.
Thicke reconnected with director Diane Martel, who shot the popular treatment for the aforementioned Billboard chart-topper. Don’t expect a similar minimalist approach here, though. Rather, the crooner and company go all out on a football field filled with rotund college band majorettes and women draped in cotton candy. After first watch, it’s just as weird as it sounds.
