The Roots, Big Daddy Kane, & More Celebrate Okayplayer Holiday Jam [PHOTOS]
Seven years of throwing a consistently dope event is a feat for any site. That said, Okayplayer, 15 years in the game, had a lot to celebrate last night at Brooklyn Bowl.
With The Roots serving as headliners, the seventh annual Holiday Jam was already promised to be ill. But that was just the tip of the iceberg. DJ J. Period kept the good vibes high on the ones and twos, while the $5 Heineken are equally responsible for the joy in the room in many cases.
Attendees in the partying spirit also enjoyed performances from the likes of Mosaic, Reggie Watts, and Donn T, prior to seeing dancehall mainstay Mr. Vegas, Philly’s Bilal, and Hip-Hip legends Big Daddy Kane and Raekwon perform alongside the Legendary Roots Crew.
