Beginning January 30, the Oldboy director will host a bi-weekly talk show on SiriusXM NBA Radio titled Spike Lee's Best Seat In The House. He'll cover everything from politics, movies and of course his beloved New York Knicks.
Deadline is also reporting that there will be an additional extension to the show where Lee will conduct interviews outside the sports realm with fellow actors, musicians and rappers, as well as putting brave politicians in the hot seat. That segment will air at a later, unconfirmed date as of now.
It is a refreshing move for Lee, 56 who hasn't been on the sunny side of luck as of late. In December, he saw his latest film, Oldboy tank at the box office, pulling in under a million dollars in its opening weekend. And right before the new year rang in, his younger brother Christopher passed away.
Anyone who has ever seen a Knicks game knows talking is what Spike Lee does best, however. His new venture should make for an easy transition.
