Raheem DeVaughn ft. Rhymefest – “Final Call (Savior’s Day)” [VIDEO]

A track like this is needed whether it’s during Black History Month or otherwise. The self proclaimed Love King, Raheem Devaughn delivers that Sunday soul on a Tuesday afternoon via a track affectionately titled “Final Call (Savior’s Day).”

DeVaughn teamed up with producer Kenny Dope and MC Rhymefest to deliver music with a message for the Black community. Clocking in at just over nine minutes, the song is split into two part. The first half is built around percussion that could lead an uprising. “I remember Marvin Gaye used to sing to me, had me feeling like Black was the thing to be,” the Washington D.C. native sings before commanding listeners not to turn down the message.

The second portion of the cut is noticeably slower and features beautiful strings and somber piano keys. Refer to this as “Savior’s Day,” a depiction of a perfect world that’s drenched in religious undertones. Tune into Raheem DeVaughn’s “Final Call (Savior’s Day)” below.
