Please don’t get it twisted, Rihanna is no Michael Jackson. Nevertheless, the Bajan singer has now accumulated more no. 1 singles than the late King of Pop.
Reports the New York Daily News:
“Work” — the 28-year-old’s recent collaboration with former flame Drake — topped the Billboard singles chart on Monday, making her the third artist in music history with the most No. 1 singles.
The “Thriller” singer had danced his way to the top 13 times. Rihanna fittingly surpassed him on the same day she dropped a steamy music video starring the “Hotline Bling” singer.
The only other two artists with more top hits are The Beatles, with 20 songs, and Mariah Carey, with 18.
