Mitt Romney’s Son Says His Dad Wanted To Be President “Less Than Anyone”

Mitt Romney’s failed presidential bid may be embarrassing to some, but the former Republican hopeful could care less, because he never really wanted to be president, this according to his son.

Tagg Romney gave an interesting interview in which he basically exposed his father’s true intentions, and as it turns out they had nothing to do with holding the nation’s highest office.

“He wanted to be president less than anyone I’ve met in my life,” Tagg told the Boston Globe, of teaming with his mother to convince his dad to run again. “He had no desire to…run.”

According to Tagg, his father would have jumped out of the race if given the opportunity, because he likes his privacy. “If he could have found somebody to take his place…he would’ve been ecstatic to step aside. He is a very private person who loves his family deeply and wants to be with them, but he has deep faith in God and he loves his country , but he doesn’t love the attention.”

Since his election loss, the 65-year-old has remained out of the spotlight, and gone silent on the social networking sector. He has however teased the creation of a newsletter for his supporters, and had lunch with President Obama.

Maybe. But if he had won, things would already be better and we wouldn’t be standing right next to a fiscal cliff. And, if he had won in 2008 (just saying), he would have taken a look at budget and deficit projections, and we wouldn’t be in the shape we’re in today.
