Sneaker snobs, your wishes have been fulfilled. “NIKE AIR” branding will be returning to a 2013 retro of the Air Jordan III White/Cement Grey colorway.

The Nike Air logos found on the heel of OG Jordans like the 3 and 4 being swapped out for the “Jumpman” logo in Retros have long been a topic of discussion, usually distaste, among sneaker heads. Jordan Brand is its own separate Nike subsidiary, thus the preference for the Jumpman branding. But if these pics are legit, the house that Michael Jordan built has taken heed, and will be dropping this model called an ’88 Retro sometime next year.

That means it’s been 25 years since Air Jordan rocked these same kicks to take flight from the free throw line and win the NBA Slam Dunk contest. So maybe an All-Star game drop in Febrauary. The White Cement Grey IIIs were recently retroed in 2011, so if you missed out, figure you need a re-up or felt that strongly about needing Nike Air on the shoe, here is your chance.

No word on pricing, but expect these to be an even harder get than those Air Jordan 11 “Breds.” Check photos of the Air Jordan III ’88 Retro in the gallery. Also included are the insane Oregon Ducks Air Jordan IIIs and IVs from DJ Clark Kent’s collection, courtesy of Complex.
