So here’s a twist. The Texas high school sophomore who was arrested for being a 31-year-old grown woman lied to police about her age, she’s actually a 34-year-old grown woman.
No one around Charity Anne Johnson seems to understand what’s happening. The people at the New Life Christian School thought that her name was Charity Stevens, and that she was 15.
Rickie Williams, her boyfriend of six months,thought she was barely legal. A friend told him that Johnson was almost double the age she was pretending to be. “I was shocked. I did not know she was 31,” Williams told KLTV.
Then he found out her actual age. “34?! Oh my god,” he said. “She told me she was 18.”
One of Johnson’s co-worker at Walmart suspected that something was up. “I said how old are you, she said ‘I’m just a sophomore in high school.’ I said, ‘really? You seem older than that,'” the co-worker recalled . She believes Johnson might be messed up in the head.
As of Wednesday (May 14), Johnson was being held on $500 bond for giving false information, among other offenses.
