Police are still investigating a Pleasantville, NJ shooting, during which rapper Beanie Sigel was shot in the torso. NBC 10 reports that the former Roc-A-Fella artist’s sister-in-law, Kamilah Salahuddin, is among a list of people being sought for questioning.

Pleasantville Police said that Salahuddin’s gray Honda Odyssey was spotted fleeing the scene of the December 5 incident. It’s unclear how many people in total were in the minivan, but a man, Ricky Childress, jumped out of the vehicle during a police pursuit. He was eventually apprehended and questioned by detectives, and has since been freed from custody.

The minivan, however, got away, but was later found on another side of town. A search of the vehicle, as well as another car involved in the shooting and the home Sigel lived in turned up physical evidence, though police have not publicized exactly what was found.

As previously reported, Umar Salahuddin, Sigel’s brother-in-law and Kamilah’s brother, was involved in the fight that led to the shooting. He was not cooperative when questioned about the occurrences that preceded the violent affair.

“Right now, the detective doesn’t have much to go on,” Pleasantville Police Capt. Rocky Melendez said. “The detectives have brought a lot of people in for questioning, but unfortunately no one’s talking.”

Authorities have reached out to Kamilah numerous times to no avail.

Sigel remains hospitalized, and has cannot speak with police, as he’s been intubated following surgery. The wordsmith was at the wrong place at the wrong time on the day of the shooting, according to police.
