No need for shadowy images and unconfirmed pics. Today (Aug. 29), Jordan Brand unveils the new Air Jordan XXXII

If you’re up on your sneaker lore, you will immediately recognize cues from the Air Jordan II, and that’s on purpose.

While the Air Jordan II boasted luxurious Italian leather, the Air Jordan XXXII utilizes a Flyknit upper that’s crafted with high tenacity yarn. The result is a very flexible upper while the leather or suede at the heel counter keeps the foot locked in.

“With Jordan shoes, we obsess the style in a way that puts many of the performance elements under the hood, so to speak,” says Air Jordan XXXII designer Tate Kuerbis via a press release. “For example, I wanted to make the laces just disappear into the knit structure, but inside there is a whole harness system with webbing that really locks down your foot.”

As expected, Russell Westbrook will be the face of Michael Jordan’s signature shoe.

“The Air Jordan game shoe line has always produced some of my favorite shoes,” says Brodie via a press release. “The XXXII is a great combination of performance and style. The way I play demands that I have the best performing sneaker on my feet and style is something that is engrained in me as a person and player.”

Westbrook is a high flyer, and the XXXII features a Nike Zoom Air bag, Flight Plate and heel Zoom positioned for quick cuts and explosive bursts.

The Air Jordan XXXII in the Rosso Corsa (read: all redm everything ) colorway drops September 23 while the Bred colorway (and it’s icey outsole) drops October 18. There will also be a low version of the latter that launches globally at the same damn time.
