Many people were surprised when Ray Lewis was among the “protesters” at this past weekend’s Ravens vs. Jaguars NFL game in London. However, just like many suspected, Ray Lewis never left the sunken place at all.
Lewis actually went down on both knees. And that’s the shufflefoot ex-NFL star’s out.
“I didn’t drop on one knee in order to protest. Boom, I dropped on two knees, both knees, so I could simply honor God amidst the chaos,” said Lewis on Inside The NFL.
He eventually added, “I have First Amendment rights myself. We’ve got people standing, we’ve got people bowing, we’ve got people don’t even wanna respect the flag. If we wanna make it right, make it two ways. You can only stand or pray.”
Well, Ray Lewis certainly has a First Amendment right to be a headass.
Also, just before his First Amendment bit, Ray Ray tried coming for Shannon Sharpe, who said he was disappointed in him. You know the ether is ’bout to be fiery.
