Not that Fabolous ever truly left, but his recent The Soul Tape 3 mixtape marked his long-awaited return to releasing full projects. The MC caught up with Fuse TV to discuss songs from the project; particularly “The Get Back,” which feels like a late response to Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” verse.
Fabolous made true on his promise by blessing the Internets with his highly anticipated mixtape, The Soul Tape 3. Expect much of the rapper’s usual formula, as he compiles a list of tracks featuring new songs and his take over popular instrumentals.
Fabolous found that studio he was looking for. In fact, he recorded an entire project, formally known as Soul Tape 3, which is set to release sooner than you think.
Quick. Off the top of your head, when’s the last time Fabolous dropped an album? Answer: it doesn’t matter. He’s poppin’ off the strength of mixtapes and guest appearances. The continent of Australia seems to agree with his status to the point they him hang out for two weeks for the Redline Music Tour.
Fabulous took fire after abandoning his plans to respond to “Control,” but makes up for it by delivering a visual for his 2 Chainz– assisted track “When I Feel Like It.”
Fabolous dug a grave for himself when he tweeted “Any studios open yet?,” after Kendrick Lamar shook up the world (more particularly New York City) with his “Control (HOF)” verse. The Brooklyn rapper has yet to respond, opening up the forum for jokes, slander, and the like.
As Fabolous puts the finishing touches on Loso’s Way II: Rise to Power, he releases a visual for “Guess Whos Bizzack,” featuring Broadway, from The Soul Tape 2 to whet fans’ appetites.
Vado is currently prepping his Slime Flu 4 mixtape, but before that releases, we receive an audible treat from the bubbling rapper called “Straight For The Summer.” The song, featuring Fabolous and Kirko Bangz, definitely caters to the season it name drops.
