HipHopWired was in the building Saturday for the BMI Awards where Snoop Dogg, Drake, B.o.B, Lex Luger and Universal Music Publishing Honored were all presented with awards.
While on the red carpet we caught up with West Coast emcees Cali Swag District and “Toot It And Boot It” rapper YG who spoke on the influence of Uncle Snoop on their careers.
“Snoop’s been doing it since he was my age and probably younger, he’s just a huge influence on the rap game. I don’t even know where to start, it’s crazy, “ said Jayare of Cali Swag.
