Shawty Lo Hospitalized Due To Diabetes [Video]
Shawty Lo had a scare this week, but is doing well now. The G-Unit recruit/D4L boss suffers from diabetes and was hospitalized on Tuesday (December 20).
Shawty Lo’s manager Johnnie Cabbell spoke with MTV’s Rap Fix and stated,
“We appreciate the outpouring of concern and prayers. Shawty Lo was hospitalized yesterday.
He suffers from Diabetes and had to seek immediate medical attention, although he is now resting and doing well. He will be able to fulfill his scheduled upcoming performances and appearances.”
Earlier this year, Hip-Hop Wired spoke exclusively with Shawty Lo about his diabetes as well as signing to G-Unit.
Speaking on his “Sugar” complications,
Lo said,
“I’m a diabetic. I’ve been a diabetic for eleven years. At first I was in denial when I found out and I wanted to keep eating and doing the same things I had been doing.
But once you learn how to cope, you deal with it. So that’s what I do know, I tell people that have been diagnosed with diabetes that you can live with it.”
