Jay-Z and Beyoncé Welcome Baby Girl, Blue Ivy Carter

The most anticipated childbirth in Hip-Hop history finally happened; Beyoncé gave birth to Blue Ivy Carter in New York City on Saturday night (January 7). Jay-Z’s new bundle of joy was delivered via C-section in Lenox Hill Hospital, reports TMZ.

It was originally reported that the baby’s name is Ivy Blue Carter, but E! News made a correction, noting Hova is telling his friends it’s Blue Ivy. Jigga has an affinity for the color since the has reportedly been attempting to patent “Jay-Z Blue.” Rumors have been circulating for the last few weeks about when the singer was due, with some even wondering if the she was even pregnant. The latter lost those bets.

Rihanna took to Twitter to congratulate the couple on their new arrival. “Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih,” she tweeted.

According to the NY Daily News, Beyoncé checked into Lenox Hill Hospital last night under the name “Ingrid Jackson,” and rented out its entire fourth floor for $1.3 million.

Now, when do we get to see the pictures?
