Jeremy Lin took NYC and the NBA by storm thanks to his feats on the basketball court the past week. But don’t expect any Rick Ross, Lil Wayne or Jay-Z, or maybe even the rap song recently dedicated to him, on his pre-game playlist. The Knicks point guard actually listens to Lecrae, a Christian Hip-Hop artist, and Grammy nominee, too.

“An artist you gotta check out is Lecrae, he’s a Christian rapper. He just raps a lot about the Gospel and about Christian music,” Lin told FUSE, shortly before his greatest NBA week ever. “I really enjoy his lyrics as well. So if you’re a big lyrics guy, I think that would be a good fit for you.”

The Harvard grad also recommended Hillsong, a Christian band, since he tries not to get “too hyped up” before a game. Even Floyd Mayweather can’t be mad at that.
