Earlier this year, New Orleans rapper Juvenile was making headlines over paternity tests rather than music. In February, a warrant was issued for the “Ha” rapper’s arrest for allegedly being defunct on his child support payments.

Juvie always maintained that he didn’t owe child support and that the paternity test was he was said to be demanding was actually legal red tape. “What’s going on is we having a custody battle right now,” Juvenile told Hip-Hop Wired. “And in the state of Louisiana it’s mandatory to have a DNA test if you’re going through a custody battle. Right I want custody of my son. I feel as a man I can do a better job with teaching him how to be a man.”

Juvenile’s latest album, Rejuvenation, is schedule to drop in June. Watch the former Hot Boys advice for fathers in the rest of the clip below.
