If there was ever any doubt over George Zimmerman’s shady activity, audio from more newly released phone recordings from jail make his plans abundantly clear. The 28-year-old and his wife, Shellie not only speak in code during phone conversations, but talk about hiding money. “Are you still at the bank?” he asks his wife during one call. He goes on to instruct her to move $10,000 into separate bank accounts daily.“Just do it right away, just set a reminder in your phone,” he instructs. “Put 10 [thousand] in yours and 10 [thousand] in Suzie’s every day.”
As he speaks, Shellie can be heard repeating all of his instructions, prompting him to say praise her efforts. “Good job honey,” he says. “I’m so proud of you.”
After exchanging pleasantries, the couple speaks about purchasing bulletproof vests for themselves and lawyer Mike O’Mara, with Zimmerman telling his wife that he’ll need protection when he leaves jail. “I would like to have one when I leave here,” he said. “I could have a bond hearing tomorrow, get on that ASAP.”
In a correspondence taped on April 12, Zimmerman’s wife also informs him that his donation website continues to bring in funds, which makes him happy. “Oh, man, that feels good… that there are people in America that care. “It makes me feel happy and to lay here and um be okay,” he adds. Not surprisingly, Zimmerman never mentions his victim, Trayvon Martin, or shows any remorse for the crime. Instead he soaks up his wife’s adoration. “I’m so happy to know that you’re gonna be okay,” she says. “After this… you’re gonna be able to just, have a great life,” to which he replies “We will.”
As previously reported, Shellie was arrested for perjury, but has since been released. Her husband ‘s next bond hearing will take place later this month.
