Attorney General Eric Holder is responding to being placed in contempt by announcing himself as a “proxy” for Republicans, in their tireless attack against President Obama.

The House Oversight Committee voted to hold Holder in contempt stemming from his refusal to turn over documents from the failed Operation Fast and Furious mission.

In an interview with the Washington Post, Holder accused Republicans of purposely making an example out of him. His views are not lost on Democrats, who showed their unhappiness for the verdict by collectively walking on the House floor.

Holder blamed California Republican Congressman Darrell Issa, who led the panel investigating the matter, for turning him into the subject of “scrutiny.”

Republicans have taken some serious blows in their war against the commander in chief, most recently when the Supreme Court voted to uphold Obama’s controversial health care reform law.
