California producer Flying Lotus takes listeners on a sonically cosmic journey on the spacey “Between Friends.” The track features Odd Future‘s own Earl Sweatshirt and “Captain Murphy,” who has an uncanny likeness to Tyler The Creator. “Between Friends” comes courtesy of Pitchfork and is a part of Adult Swim’s 2012 Singles Program, during which a new track is dropped weekly for twelve weeks.

Earl Sweatshirt is batting for a thousand with his show-stealing verses in 2012, which includes The OF Tape Vol. 2 standout, “Oldie,” Frank Ocean’s “Super Rich Kids,” and now Flying Lotus’s “Between Friends.” No word on when the California MC will drop a follow up to his critically acclaimed EARL, but fans can expect Odd Future affiliates Domo Genesis and Mike G. to drop projects very soon.

Listen to “Between Friends” after the jump.
