First George Zimmerman begged the public for money, then his lawyer got involved, and now his parents have followed suit. Robert and Gladys Zimmerman have launched an online fun to help cover their living expenses. Given the media behind their son’s pending second-degree murder case, for shooting 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, the couple has not been able to bring in money to pay their bills.

On their website Robertandgladys.com, the couple thanks supporters in advance, before explaining why they are in need of assistance. “My wife and I have only requested prayers thus far and we have refused to accept any donations or payments whatsoever for any purpose,” Robert writes. “However, we fully realize that the peaceful, secure life we once knew is now just a memory. Therefore, I am providing a link for those supporters who would like to leave us a personal message or contribute to our greatly increased living expenses, and our eventual relocation.”

Since George’s trial is not expected to begin until the end of the year, Robert  also “assured” the public that the “truth will be presented.”

Like his parents, George is also confident that he will be vindicated. In his first television interview, he revealed that if given the opportunity he would not change the events of Feb. 26, which resulted in Martin’s untimely demise.
