The Azealia Banks covers so and so magazine posts are becoming a daily routine. The Harlem rapper and singer is the subject of a provocative cover of the UK’s Dazed & Confused magazine. The cover image drew some controversy since it features Banks blowing into an unrolled condom while holding it between her fingers as if it was a cigar. There is also the tag line; “Azealia Banks Blows Up.” Get it?
Enough people got the innuendo to have said cover banned in seven countries. Such prudes, right?
So that’s three coveted covers for Banks; VIBE, SPIN and Paper. Who’s next?
Yesterday, Banks got into yet another Twitter tiff, this time with Funkmaster Flex. The Hot 97 DJ took her to task for beefing with Jim Jones (not to mention Kreayshawn, Iggy Azalea, T.I. and Elliott Wilson) and she responded in kind with some tweets, including, “@funkmasterflex tell that ni–a Jim to defend himself … You stay out of it and have yourself a glass of fat free water.”
