Lupe Fiasco was a guest on Al Lindstrom’s Toca Tuesdays last night on Shade 45 Satellite Radio. On this interview, Wasulu discusses his much talked about album artwork and how hard it took for him to convince the record label to go “all black everything” for it.

For those who haven’t looked at the actual artwork, not only is the album cover black, but the entire booklet is blacked out. “It’s funny cause that was the hardest album packaging concert to get through to the label,” says Lupe. “It would’ve been easier if I said I want to dip some babies in fire and then like kind of have someone with their head cut off.”

Lupe Fiasco’s Food And Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album Part 1, is on pace to sell close to 89,000 copies this week .
