The fourth episode of adidas Basketball’s “The Return Of D-Rose” series is here and although Derrick Rose is still a long way from crossing defenders over on an NBA court, this installment will have you itching to see him back more than you may already be. Rose, whose birthday was yesterday (October 4th), talks more about his rehab regimen and, of course, his Chicago hometown. Rehab of his torn ACL looks like it’s on schedule with the point guard running and shooting again.

“I’m good right now I started running…that was my first time running,” says Rose. “And I’m just trying to get healthy. That’s my biggest thing get my body together, rebuilding my whole body, and just have a lot of confidence in myself and see where it takes me.”

Rose’s latest signature shoe, the adidas D Rose 3, was just released and he’s thankful the shoe brand is there while he works to get back to his NBA MVP form.

“I’m working out I’m back on the court I’m never stopping man that’s why I think me and adidas became partners,” explains Rose. “They’re trying to grow, I’m trying to grow as a player and we’re never satisfied. We’re always trying to improve. I can practice all day scrimmage with the guys or whatever but it’s not going to be the same until I step on that court again.”
