Rap music is cool and all, but it’s not for everybody. More importantly, it’s not appropriate for all occasions. Some of the language and reoccurring themes in the genre tend to make people not used to the culture uncomfortable. Playing rap music, using or reciting rap lyrics or even just being a rapper can rub people the wrong way in certain situations.
It’s okay to be about that Hip-Hop life and wear it on your sleeve, but just be careful who you do it in front of. Knowing when, where and on what occasion rap is appropriate can mean all the difference in the world.
