Tagg Romney has smoothed things over with President Obama after he quipped about wanting to lay hands on him, during the second debate.

The Romney son attended the third debate in Florida, Monday (Oct. 22), along with his family, and took time out to greet the president with an apology.

On Tuesday (Oct. 23), an anonymous official from Romney’s camp, not authorized to release statements on personal matter, also confirmed Tagg’s apology.

During an interview with a North Carolina radio station, Tagg—one of five of Romney’s sons—responded to Obama calling his father a liar, saying “You want to rush down to the debate stage and take a swing at him,” words which were spoofed by Saturday Night Live.

Despite both opponents being fired up during the debate, after the fact, the Romney and Obama families, came together to embrace one another, showing that their political views are not personal.

While most surveys pegged the president as the winner of the third debate, some national polls have placed Romney in the lead among voters.

With  under two weeks left until election day, both sides are campaigning across the country to elicit votes.
