There is still no official ETA on when Derrick Rose will return to the basketball court. But his latest signature show, the adidas D Rose 3, has plenty of colorways in the stash to keep you preoccupied until then.
Here we take a look at the “Michigan Avenue,” “Brenda” and “’90s Throwback” colorways. The “Brenda” is an homage to his mother, Brenda Rose, and its red nubuck upper is in honor her favorite color while the left tongue features “Brenda” in script and the right features Rose’s lasered signature.
The “Michigan Avenue” model is yet another ode to his city; white synthetic leather upper and midsole’s speckled dots represent the lights of the famed Michigan Avenue in the Windy City during the Holiday season. The toe is is blue nubuck, the stripes and eyelets are yellow while the tongue, outsole and laces are infrared. The inside of each tongue features D Rose’s “Poohdini” tattoo.
The “90s Throwback” can easily be called “Fresh Prince of Bel-Airs” thanks to its fluorescent green nubuck upper. The insides of the tongues feature graffiti style tags of “South Side” and “773” in ode to D Rose’s Chi-town hometown.
The “Brenda” drops tomorrow, November 19th, while the other aforementioned colors are still available at adidas Basketball. All will cost you $160. Check out close up images of each colorway in the gallery.
