A man has pleaded no contest to attempted murder charges stemming from a 2007 strip club incident involving NFL player Pacman Jones.
Arvin Kenti Edwards entered the plea Tuesday for the shooting that left one person paralyzed and two others wounded.
With the plea deal he faces four to ten years in prison when he’s sentenced in January.
Edwards could have faced as many as 186 years in prison if convicted of the seven felony charges against him.
He still maintains his innocence but says he agreed to a plea deal because he feared the court would not give him a lenient sentence if convicted.
Police say Pacman Jones briefly met with Edwards after Jones and his entourage was ejected from the club for fighting.
Police say Edwards and Jones met just moments before Edwards opened fire with a handgun outside the club and insist that Jones provoked the incident by previously throwing wads of dollar bills from a trash bag onstage and becoming angry when strippers picked up the money.

He was joined at the strip club that night by Nelly and Jermaine Dupri who was seen on video chastising the strippers for collecting the bills.
Jones denied any role in the shooting and pleaded no contest to conspiracy to commit disorderly conduct in a plea deal that reduced felony charges of coercion.
