Nicki Minaj gets the brunt of the shine, but Shanell has been Young Money’s other leading lady for several years. While making her rounds on the 2012 BET Awards carpet, the Cali native opened up about her forthcoming mixtape, and her album. Rather than open the flood gates for the YMCMB fam, she only snagged Busta Rhymes (yes, he signed to Cash Money. Remember?) for her “Nobody’s B—-,” mixtape. “I didn’t want to over flood it with a bunch of different artist,” she tells Hip-Hop Wired.

Elsewhere in our exclusive interview, Shanell explains missing the deadline for the album, which has been pushed back to next year.
