Blu is a ridiculously nice MC. The Cali also happens to be a Christian whose rhymes are so smooth you won’t even get put off if you’re usually hesitant to hear out overbearingly religious rappers. Such is the case with this new Blu & Exile song called “A Man” (think “Amen”) from their new EP, Maybe One Day, that’s out today on Dirty Science/Fat Beats.

Exile lays down a gem of a track for Blu to offer introspective rhymes over. He raps, “I wonder, who do you believe in, I know it ain’t me/I hope it ain’t a priest or who you seen in TV/I hope it ain’t your papa partner, he only raised you/And I know it ain’t your mom even though that’s who you came through/I’m asking who you you pray to.”

You can cop Maybe One Day on iTunes or vinyl. A new Blu & Exile album titled Give Me My Flowers While I Can Still Smell Them, which will come in a limited edition box set version, will be in stores September 4th.

Listen to and download “A Man” below. This song is like the total opposite of Meek Mill’s “Amen,” but are dope. It’s great when rap fans get multiple options.
