The G.O.O.D. Music family stepped through Hot 97, aka the offices of one Funkmaster Flex, and blessed the airwaves with a gang of freestyle bars. Big Sean, CyHi The Prynce and Common laid into Freeway’s “What We Do” instrumental. After the first round,  Big Sean got a go over Biggie’s “Who Shot Ya?” instrumental (which Kendrick Lamar murked) and CyHi handled his business over Mobb Deep’s “Shook Ones Part II.”

“Twice as good as your favorite rapper, half their age,” kicked Sean. “Dropped jewels like my chain broke,” spit CyHi. Keep a bad white b, thinking I’m Ice-T,” said Common.

The winner? We’re going to have to say Common off of the fact that he actually freestyled off the top of the head. A very rare move in today’s Hip-Hop game.

Listen to the freestyle session below. G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Summer album is in stores today.
