Nicki Minaj will be one of the headlining performers at this year’s 40th Anniversary American Music Awards (AMA). package clark productions, inc., producers of the AMAs, announced today that the YMCMB Barbie will be joining Taylor Swift and Linkin Park on stage, as well as the the previously announced Christina Aguilera. 

Along with Rihanna, Nicki Minaj leads this year’s AMA nominees with four nominations including “Favorite Female Artist—Pop/Rock” and “Favorite Album” in both the “Pop/Rock” and “Rap/Hip-Hop” categories for her Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded album. The aforementioned LP is being reissued with new music, titled The Re-Up, and is due in stores November 19th.

AMA winners are determined by online voting.  Fans can cast theirs votes at the Coca-Cola AMA voting website, amavote.com and also at AMA.abc.com.

The 40th Anniversary American Music Awards will be broadcast live from the NOKIA Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 18th at 8PM EST on ABC.

With Minaj’s The Re-Up album out the very next day, we can surely expect a performance that will get the Internets going.
