French Montana has broke his silence after a man was shot and killed last night in Philadelphia following an altercation that took place outside of the rapper’s tour bus.

The Bad Boy artist took to his Twitter account to directly address the rumors that he may have been targeted in the gunfire or was somehow involved in the fracas. “My bus was located in the vicinity of the incident that took place last night in Philadelphia. I had a peaceful concert and was not involved,” he wrote. “My deepest thoughts and sympathies go out to the families of the victims, as well as all of those who were affected.”

As reported earlier in the day, a 27-year old man was shot in the stomach and rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead last night. A second fan was also hit and is in stable condition at Jefferson University Hospital. Authorities have interviewed witnesses on the scene including the Excuse My French rapper and his entourage about the incident.

Montana is currently prepping the release of his major label debut Excuse My French, releasing May 21st. The album will include the singles “Freaks,” “Pop That,” and Marble Floors.”
